APPLICANT

Applicators are good for pain relief and muscle relaxation. You can buy them in pharmacies and orthopedic stores. Alleviation of the patient's suffering occurs after the first use and regular use normalizes sleep, relieves headaches and normalizes blood pressure.

A collar massager gives good results. This automatic device is equipped with a control panel, with which you can adjust the level of impact on the neck area.

Needle applicator used to relieve spasm and increase neck muscle tone

The use of hand massagers, often with thermal effects, is no less effective. The jade massager has also proven itself well. It's not cheap, but judging by the reviews, it's worth the money spent.

Self-massage

Of course, you can go to your local clinic for a massage. But you will have to adjust to the massage therapist's busy schedule, waste time traveling there and back, and pick up absolutely unnecessary viruses and bacteria in the hospital corridors.

You can invite a massage therapist to your home. Very convenient. But believe me, the pleasure is not cheap. How many sessions are enough for you?

It is much better (and more profitable) to learn how to give a healthy massage yourself at home.

The neck with osteochondrosis should be massaged with both hands and at the same time with the shoulders

So, how to properly massage the neck yourself? First you need to sit comfortably in a chair and relax.

Important!Massage should not be painful. Sudden movements and strong impacts are excluded.

Basic rules:

  • the massage is done only with hands, without any additional equipment;
  • without strong pressure: all movements are soft, striking;
  • the direction of movement is from the vertebrae to the periphery.

Basic movements:

  • trituration;
  • kneading;
  • petting;
  • petting;
  • tingling sensation.

Area of influence:

  • neck muscles (lateral and back surface);
  • the back of the head

Place your left hand on your right shoulder as you turn your head to the left. Start the movements from the neck and finish with the shoulder. Then switch hands and turn your head in the opposite direction. The session lasts 5-7 minutes.

Rubbing is done in a circular motion from the neck to the shoulder. 3-4 approaches on each side. The head also turns towards the opposite shoulder.

Using the same movement principle, we do pinching for 2-3 minutes on each side. When stroking, your palm should be shaped like a boat. The directions of movement are the same. We end the massage with caresses.

exercise

A mandatory procedure in the treatment of osteochondrosis (any, not only cervical) is therapeutic exercises. It should be done not only in the morning immediately after waking up, but also throughout the day. At first you may feel dizzy. Sit down and continue the exercises.

Performing a set of head tilts will prevent cervical osteochondrosis

Here are some effective exercises for the cervical spine:

  2. Place your right palm on your right temple. Press into your temple as your head resists. Do the same on the other side.
  3. Turn your head back and forth.
  4. Turn your head left and right.
  5. Spinning of the head.
  6. Sitting on the floor, bring your knees to your chest. Stretch your forehead to your knees, stretching your neck. Hold for a few seconds.

Important!All movements are smooth, without vibration. Listen to your feelings!

Nutrition

Proper nutrition will complement all the above methods for the treatment of cervical osteochondrosis.

For proper functioning, the body must receive a certain amount of nutrients. And preferably from daily food. If for some reason your diet does not contain all the necessary substances, you should replenish their supply by taking multivitamins.

The amount of water you drink per day is very important (according to medical standards - 1. 5-2 liters).

Dietary recommendations:

  • exclude soups with fatty liquids. Watery vegetable soups are welcome;
  • lean meat and fish, boiled or baked;
  • no more than 3 eggs per week;
  • exclude white bread. We prefer whole grains or bran;
  • Among vegetables, we treat legumes and spinach with care;
